Clear it out and then use the lever to lower your party into the basement. Kill the force of Krug there and then head north, before crossing the bridge. Climb the northern stairs and proceed down the sole path until you find a bridge. It is a very weak enemy and shouldn¿t pose much of a problem to you. To the east of the gate there is a Hulking Gremel. With the increase in party members after visiting Stonebridge, these larger groups of monsters shouldn¿t pose much difficulty for you. ![]() The only difference is that they attack you in larger numbers. The rest of the area is filled with Krugs, wolves and Black Skrubbs. The Hulking Gremel and the Killer Gremel are these, and neither of them are particularly difficult to kill. There are two new enemies, each of which you fight once. The monsters in this small area offer no new challenges over the ones that you fought before. Here you can easily finish off a quest and get further into a second one before you even set foot into the dungeon. There are a few things to accomplish here before heading into the area¿s dungeon. Head through the northern gate when you are done in town. I returned here after clearing out the next area of enemies and looting all their corpses, and was able to hire another character (I took the archer). If you have enough money, pick up another party member from the three that are available in town. He'll send you on a task to clear Glitterdelve Pass of Krug.īefore leaving town, I suggest that you pick up a pack mule or two. You'll also want to talk to the guard at the Wesrin Cross Gate. If you find his axe at the tower, you can keep it, along with anything else you find there.Īt Etan's Roost you'll find Ella Riverstarn, who will ask you to deliver a message to her sister Ada in Glacern. He used to be in the Stonebridge militia until the Krug attacked the tower he was assigned to. ![]() For a more lucrative affair talk to Ordus Jarrell near the Black Hammer Forge. Alanna, who lives in the windmill near the gate to the Crypt of Blood, offers the appreciation of the citizenry if you clear the beach of Black Skrubb. There are also a few quests to pick up while in town. You'll find the Bowyer Naidi (0 Melee, 3 Ranged, 0 Nature Magic, 0 Combat Magic 10 Str, 11 Dex, 10 Int) at the Shrine of Passion in north Stonebridge. Rusk the Squire (3 Melee, 0 Ranged, 0 Nature Magic, 0 Combat Magic 11 Str, 10 Dex, 10 Int) is passed out with a hangover upstairs, but the 1100 gold pieces may be a touch rich for you at this point, especially since you just picked up Gyorn, who is a fine melee fighter. Zed the Apprentice (0 Melee, 0 Ranged, 3 Nature Magic, 0 Combat Magic 10 Str, 10 Dex, 12 Int) is at Etan's Roost Inn and can be hired for 900 gold. However, unlike Gyorn, each of these escorts will charge you a bit of gold. Excluding Gyorn, there are three other stalwart travel companions that you'll find in Stonebridge: Zed, Rusk, and Naidi. Now that you've gotten that out of the way it's time to rest up, sell and purchase goods, buy a pack mule or two, and possibly entice a few adventurers to join your party. An accomplished hand-to-hand combatant, he'll offer to join your party for the trek to Glacern. By this point your inventory is probably loaded to the gills, but before you saunter off to sell your booty at the smithy, stop by the old broken catapult by the gates and introduce yourself to Gyorn, the guy Norick asked you to find at the beginning of the game. So here you are - you've finally reached Stonebridge.
